Lovely

I have discovered a beautiful, beautiful song. Very ethereal, like Enya’s, but, well, lovelier:

You’re the sweet dreams that soothe me when I can’t asleep.
You’re the field in the middle of the city…
Ohhh, you’re lovely, lovely.
You’re the center of my universe.
A thousand times, I look around me and I find…
Ohh, you’re lovely, lovely.
You’re the center of my universe.

--“Lovely” by Michelle Tumes

Poem of the Day

When we first talked to each other
I knew we would always be friends.
Our friendship has kept on growing
And I'll be here for you to the end.

You listen when I have a problem
And help dry the tears from my face.
You take away my sorrow
And put happiness in its place.

We can't forget the fun we've had
Laughing 'til our faces turn blue.
Talking of things only we find funny
People think we're insane-If they only knew!

I guess this is my way of saying thanks
For catching me when I fall.
Thanks once again for being such a good friend
And being here with me through it all.

Destiny

Watch your thoughts; they become words.

Watch your words; they become actions.

Watch your actions; they become habits.

Watch your habits; they become character.

Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Just Wanna Say

Across the miles,
You've brought the smiles
You've wiped my tears
By lending an ear.
Although my voice you have not heard
You've listened carefully to my thoughts
My feelings
My words.
And I want you to know,
I'm glad we met
Over the net,
'cause my heart is
Happy deep down inside
and you're a treasure my friend
And that's no lie!
Thanks for your friendship!
And thanks for being you!

Here We Are

We are five in the family.
Father, Mother, Sister,
Brother, and me.
We stay together.
We work together.
We play together.
We pray together.
We love each other.
With God our maker,
We are happy together.

All Things Bright And Beautiful

All Things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

Each Little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their tiny wings.

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

The purple-headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning
That brighten up the sky:

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

The cold wind in the winter,
The pleasant summer sun,
The ripe fruits in the garden,
He made them everyone:

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

The tall trees in the greenwood,
The meadows where we play,
The rashes in the water
We gather everyday:

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.

God And His Art

Long, long ago far away
God sat down, He turned and looked
He held a brush. He painted all day
He waved His arms, swung and smiled.

There were the sky, sun, moon and stars
There were the sea, land, trees, plants
The world was a beauty in all its parts
Wonders of it had no end, no star.

Pink roses bloomed, apples grew rosy
Rivers sang a tune, clouds puffed and blew
Fish of blue, red and green danced so easy
Birds of big and small kinds flew.

There was a fuzzy bear, a funny cat
Golden butterflies, dazzled tiny bees
A tamed horse, a green frog, a dog to pat
And dainty birds on sun-glazed tress.

A Jolly Good Elf

He was dressed all in fur,
From his head to his feet
And his coat was covered
With ashes and soot.

He was jolly and plump
A jolly good elf,
And I laughed when I saw him,
In spite of my self.

The Whole Company

Here we are, the whole company,
Grandchildren, children, parents,
Grandparents, and everyone
Let's celebrate today
Come, come be gay!
No, no, no,
Low, low, low,
Arranging daisies with my toe,
To and fro, to and fro
Slow, slow, slow.

I Walk The Long Way

I leave home in the morning,
I walk the long way to the bus stop,
The morning is beautiful.

A bird sit in her nest on the tall tree,
The small bird's nest is on the branch of the tree,
Quietly, I walk.

I wait here at the bus stop,
The blue sky is over,
The dry, dry earth is under my feet.

The land is beautiful,
I hear the rattle of the school bus too near,
It's time to sit and listen to my teacher,
I learned a new lesson,
I laugh and my teacher laughs with me.

Now I take the long way back home,
Quietly, the bird sits in the nest
on the branch of a tree.
I walk fast, I am home.

I leave my things in my room,
I go outside and wait for the sunset,
the sunset is beautiful.

The moon is bright,
It is time to listen to my loved ones,
It is time to listen to stories of long ago,
The words are beautiful.

A cloud hides the moon
I hear a dog howling in the night,
In the black night.
The night is beautiful.

Giant Giraffe

I saw a giant giraffe,
Just sitting under the tree,
He was eating some nuts,
And couldn't joke with me.

My Little Doll

I had Cute little Doll
Mom gave it to me on December
I played with it one day,
Until here paint was all washed away.

Where Animals Go to Sleep

Where do insects go at night,
Where all the world's asleep?
Where do bugs and butterflies
and caterpillar creep?

Turtles sleep inside their shells;
The robin has her nest,
Rabbits and sly old fox
Have holes where they can rest.

Bears can crawl inside the cave;
The lion has its den,
Cows can sleep inside the barn,
And pigs can use their pen.

But where do bugs and butterflies
And caterpillars creep?
When everything is dark outside,
And all the world's asleep?

The Wife is Hidden

The wife is hidden
no me knows where
Maybe someone
Brought her to an island
But I wish she were here.

The Shaggy Bear

The Shaggy Bear
Came creeping, creeping, creeping,
He doesn't feel sleepy on a tree,
He's looking for food up.

The Little LadyBug

There's a little lady bug
Crawling on my lap
And a sleepy, brown lizard
Hiding on the dark.

We are Special

I am special, I am me
No one can ever take my place, you see.
God made me different from other, gee!
I am special, I am me.

I can do many things,
I can write, I can sing
Happiness I bring
To everyone and everything.

You are special, you are you!
You can do many things that i cannot do.
You are different from me, that's true
God want you to be you!

Simple Simon

Simple Simon met a short pie man,
Rushing to the fair
Said Simple Simon to the pie man
"Sir, let me taste your ware."
The pie man said to Simple Simon
"Show me first your penny."
Said Simple Simon to the pie man
"Gee! I have not any."

The Butterfly

Fly, fly, fly,
Big Butterfly,
In the garden
You may fly high,
In the meadow
You may fly low,
Fly, fly, fly,
Big Butterfly.
