Long, long ago far away
God sat down, He turned and looked
He held a brush. He painted all day
He waved His arms, swung and smiled.
There were the sky, sun, moon and stars
There were the sea, land, trees, plants
The world was a beauty in all its parts
Wonders of it had no end, no star.
Pink roses bloomed, apples grew rosy
Rivers sang a tune, clouds puffed and blew
Fish of blue, red and green danced so easy
Birds of big and small kinds flew.
There was a fuzzy bear, a funny cat
Golden butterflies, dazzled tiny bees
A tamed horse, a green frog, a dog to pat
And dainty birds on sun-glazed tress.
