True Love's Dark End
© By Patrick G. Viviano
I'd watch you laugh through
out the painYour emotions light and good
How could you shut out your dark past
Whilst it I never could
Now you're planning for the day
For the end of your despair
Just like the last page in a book
It never will be fair
Crimson blood comes from your wrist
A smile upon your lips
You slowly drift out of my world
While my heart fails and rips
You were everything to me
Holding me to the ground
How can I deal with life without you
When your lips don't make a sound
You leave me with one option
I look back with no regret
As I press my lips to yours
Our love I won't forget
My visions getting blurry
My throat has gone dry too
I embrace you for a final time
And mouth the words
I love you!
